Part 1. Interview with Aoi.
– First of all, the latest news from the GazettE!!
A little later, we gradually move on to your “hot” conversation.
First, I have already heard about the events taking place in groups, but primarily about the GazettE.
DVD with your world tour has been released.Aoi: You know, most part just did not fit on the DVD. [Since overseas tour will be recorded on DVD, let’s do it in the form of the documentary] – with this in mind, we have prepared this movie. Usually, our DVDs are a little different, so watching something new, whether fans will not find it boring? But in the end, on this DVD sealed precious moments in the form of short films.
– Did you want to show yourself as you are through these short films?
Aoi: Not only… We wanted to show the view that we saw during shopping trips ..
— LIVE DVD『LIVE TOUR 13-14 「MAGNIFICENT MALFORMED BOX」FINAL CODA LIVE AT 01.11 YOKOHAYA ARENA』which took place on January 11 in Yokohama, will be on sale May 21.
Aoi: As I went to the interview, I have not finished watching DVD completely. That live was really great, even those who could not attend the concert, watching it, can feel all the atmosphere and say “Oh, really cool!” so I’m happy.
– Let’s continue. From the standpoint of tours 「◆the GazettE STANDING LIVE TOUR14 NAMELESS LIBERTY DISORDER HEAVEN ◆the GazettE STANDING LIVE TOUR14 PULSE WRIGGLING TO DIM SCENE 2014 SUMMER ◆the GazettE STANDING LIVE TOUR14 GROAN OF VENOMOUS CELL 2014 AUTUMN, each of them will be executed in three completely different directions in your decision. Also, I heard that in each of them you will play two albums, right?
Aoi: In March will begin a tour in which we will pay attention to two albums such as “NIL” and “DISORDER”. Next, we’ll play “STANDING LIVE TOUR14 PULSE WRIGGLING TO DIM SCENE 2014 SUMMER”, which will start in July. In the same tour we will focus on the 3d and 4th albums – “STACKED RUBBISH” and “DIM”.
In autumn 2014 there will be the tour “STANDING LIVE TOUR14 GROAN OF VENOMOUS CELL 2014 AUTUMN”, in which we will play the songs of 5th and 6th albums – “TOXIC” and “DIVISION”. All these tours will seem very interesting. And all the seats will be standing.
Now coming back to the first tour, we decided to include older versions of songs. It seemed really interesting to us, but some fans may not be aware of the atmosphere of old lives. From my own experience I know that people’s opinions diverged widely from what they expected to see.
– That is, feeling the atmosphere of the time, the audience will feel the change?
Aoi: Yes. Not that we will play the old versions of the songs, rather little change them, but keeping the old atmosphere. I think that no matter how much has already changed the GazettE you will still be able to fully enjoy the concert.
Aoi the GazettE & Mizuki Sadie
– First of all, I will ask about your relationship at the moment. I think this will be the starting point of our conversation. Right now “conversation of Aoi from the GazettE and Mizuki from Sadie begins!”. Oh, probably, for this I was born. But I think people are wondering, “Why are these two?” First of all, tell us about the experience of each other.
Aoi: Uuh? If I had a similar feeling in the first meeting?
Mizuki: And I. .. I remember well.
Aoi: Nothing pops up in my head.
Mizuki: It was a bit strange meeting…
Aoi: Ah! In Tokyo, right?
Mizuki: Wrong.
Aoi: Osaka then?
Mizuki: Wrong again…
Aoi: Ahhh, got-got-got! I knew-knew! It’s Okayama!
Mizuki: True-true
Aoi: When we went on tour in Okayama, youngest Screw also played with us, so I thought, “I must go and greet them,” so I went to them.
Mizuki: Check the work (laughs)
Aoi: When we arrived to the concert hall, the Screw wasn’t there at yet. That is, in addition to them, there was also a second live of Sadie. When I entered, Sadie rehearsed. That was our first meeting.
Mizuki: Yeah, we had such a case. When we were preparing for the rehearsal, the staff said: “Aoi-san from the Gazette is coming” and I was like “What?!” (laughs). “No, wait, SCREW hasn’t come yet”… Went into the hall and said: “These fools from SCREW aren’t here at yet!”
Aoi: In the end, we both kept talking so till SCREW has come.
Mizuki: So we better knew each other (laughs).
Aoi: Definitely (laughter).
– So, to get to know each other you resort to such talk?
Aoi: Noooo, it was an accident then.
Mizuki: Ahahaha. Aoi, I was really nervous, because it was first time I met a member from the GazettE. Yes, and I think that Aoi seemed intimidating then.
Aoi: What, really?!
Mizuki: Just you were wearing sunglasses, so facial expression couldn’t be immediately understood. Also, you were dressed all in black, even coat was the same color, expensive silver accessories.. so I thought, “Wow, he’s so cool” but couldn’t say that. (laughs)
Aoi: Yes, we even didn’t exchange contacts.
Mizuki: Then I couldn’t even say “Please,follow me on twitter”.
Aoi: Nevertheless, these (Screw) did not come (laughs).
